Οι Chokehold ήταν μια vegan straight edge μπάντα από το Χάμιλτον του Καναδά. Δημιουργήθηκε το 1992 και το τελευταίο λάιβ της ήταν τον Μάρτιο του 1996 στο Νιου Μπέντφορντ της Μασαχουσέτης. Αποτέλεσαν μια μεγάλη επιρροή τόσο για τις μπάντες του ακραίου hardcore όσο και για όσους ένιωσαν τους στίχους τους και άλλαξαν τις ζωές τους. Οι στίχοι τους μιλάνε για την Απελευθέρωση των Ζώων και της Γης, για την Ολική Απελευθέρωση, καθώς και έχουν κομμάτια που αντιτίθενται στην ομοφοβία και στην θρησκεία. Επίσης έχουν κομμάτια και για το δικαίωμα της ελεύθερης επιλογής όσον αφορά την έκτρωση (δηλώνουν pro-choice).
